1. When logged into the Portal, click on the three (3) lines in the top left corner of the page to view the Menu.
2. Click on User Management -> Maintain Roles and the below screen will appear. There are three (3) different types of roles/controls to manage in the application.
A. The Department Access Roles defines the default roles assigned to a user based on their Organization and Department selected during user account registration.
i. Default user roles can be added or removed to a specific Organization and Department combination.
ii. Select an Organization from the drop down list.
iii. Then select a Department from the drop down list.
iv. The list of default roles for the selected entries will then display.
v. Click the trash can to remove a role from the default list.
vi. Or select an Application and Role from the bottom drop down lists to then Add a new role to the list of defaults.
B. The Access Roles defines the roles for a select application and what application functions are allowed or not allowed for the role when logged into the system.
i. Enter the parameters to search for the Access Role to update/maintain. Enter one or multiple search parameters.
ii. Click “Search” to retrieve the list of roles matching the search criteria.
iii. The list of Roles that match the entered search criteria will appear in the table below.
iv. Click the trash can to delete a role from the application.
v. Click the ‘Add Access Role’ button to define a new role for the application.
vi. Click on a row to open/update the details for the selected role.
C. The UI Controls defines the user interface tabs and buttons to be displayed with which functions they access.
i. Select the Application from the drop down list.
ii. Enter a Page or Component Name (optionally) to help define what is controlled.
iii. Click “Search” to retrieve the list of UI Controls matching the search criteria.
iv. The list of Controls that match the entered search criteria will appear in the table below.
v. Click the trash can to delete a UI Control from the selected application.
vi. Click the ‘Add UI Control’ button to define a new UI Control for the selected application.
vii. Click on a row to open/update the details for the selected UI Control.
