Clicking on the “Click to get started” button under the “Change Request” option allows the Owner or Delegate to submit a change request to:
- Change of VIC Type (Stationary or Mobile)
- Company Address
- Company Type
- Test Class
- VIC Address
- VIC Business Name
- VIC Business Number Expiry
- VIC Legal Name and Business Number
These changes require MTO approval, and the changes to the VIC record will take effect upon approval of the request.
Clicking on the “Back” button will take the User back to the list of VICs on the Vehicle Inspection Centre Information page. Clicking the “Home” button will return the User to the main ICAA Portal page.
The selected VIC is listed at the top of the page.
Upon clicking the “Click to get started” button, the “Step 1. Owner and Business Information” screen will be shown. The VIC Owner or Delegate can update the Company Information, including the Legal Name, Business Number, Company Type, and the Owner Street and Mailing Addresses. Under Registration Information, the VIC Business Name and Expiry Date can be updated. The Owner or Delegate can also update the Vehicle Inspection Centre Test Class, Type, and Mobile Capability from this screen in addition to the VIC Street and Mailing Address.
They must upload the Certificate of Registration on this page. Upon uploading the file, a pop-up window will confirm with the statement “Document upload Successful” and the User can click “OK” to return to the screen.
To submit the changes for approval, the User must click the checkbox next to “I hereby acknowledge and approve the use of my personal information to authorized users within the DriveON Portal.” After selecting the checkbox, they can click “Save and Continue” to submit for MTO approval. Upon clicking the “Save and Continue” button, a pop-up window will appear stating that “The record saved successfully.” The User can click “OK” or anywhere on the screen to return to the screen. Clicking the “Back to Home” button will return you to the main ICAA Portal page.
The requested change will be reflected in the “Pending change request(s)” section of the Vehicle Inspection Centre Information page. Note that the status of the change request is “In Process.”
Next, click on the Pending change request to bring up the Owner and Business Information accordion and the Performance Contract.
Click the three check boxes to agree to the Performance Contract terms, then click the “Fleet Performance Contract 2022.” This will open the “Integrated Vehicle Safety & Emissions Inspection Program - Private Fleet Vehicle Inspection Centre Performance Contract” which you will need to review and sign at the bottom. To sign the contract, click the two checkboxes at the bottom of the contract and then click the “Sign and Submit” button. A pop-up window will confirm that “You have successfully signed this document.” You will be encouraged to click the “Close” button to go back to the previous page.
The performance contract will then reflect that the Owner has signed it. Click the “Submit” button to submit your change request.
A pop-up window will appear to confirm that “This Change request has been submitted.” You will be notified by email when the request is approved.
On the “Pending change request(s)” list, your status will be updated to “Under Ministry Review.”
